. . . So be Good for Goodness Sake

Last year at Christmas, I discovered a website called Claus.com - http://www.claus.com/village.php where you can email a note to Santa (oh, the joy of technology), play games, sing songs etc. One of the coolest features on the site is an area where you can find out if a child (in our case Miss Little Zo Peep) is on Santa’s naughty or nice list this year -- http://www.claus.com/naughtyornice/nn_hmpg2.php.

Last night we entered Zo Peep's first and last name, waited, and then got a message from the Jolly St. Nick himself. The message said that she’s been both naughty and nice this year. That she should work on being nice to Everyone – not just her friends – and that her behavior in December would make the difference and determine if she would make it on to the “Nice” list for this Christmas.

She was transfixed as she heard the information – it was sooooo accurate.

The site allows you to check up on other folks as well. Zo Peep wanted to enter her cousin K. – so we put her name in. The report was GLOWING – listens well, very polite, with a little extra good behavior may make it to the very TOP of the list. Once again, that description sounded like K to a “T.”

Next we did one of Zo Peep’s friends – the results sounded accurate and were a little bit of a mixed bag.

Then Zo Peep asked that we put in Libby Doodle Doo. I said that Santa may not have up-to-date information on Libby Doodle Doo’s new name, so I suggested that we enter her Chinese name. I typed it in and we waited.

The report about Libby Doodle Doo was interesting to say the least – Nice, deep down inside, but has been VERY naughty for the last few weeks – messy, cranky, not listening well. Santa said that she’d have to do a Major change to squeak on to the Nice list this year. Zo Peep listened intently. Then, she got the biggest grin on her face.

“She’s even worse than me,” she said feeling superior and triumphant.

Ahhhhh, the sibling rivalry has just begun.
