The Silence is Deafening

Still no word on a travel date. When I talked to the travel co-ordinator's office yesterday afternoon they said that they did not have TA's (travel authorizations) yet. Without TA's they can't finalize our appointments or book our travel. I'm starting to fear that December travel may not be the sure thing that I thought it was last week.

But here's the confusing part -- Some other folks in my travel group are hearing that travel plans are almost complete. So clearly mixed signals here. I realize that the agencies may have instructed the travel co-ordination staff to not share information with the families -- so maybe TA's are here and they just told me that they were not. If that is true, I'd be very disappointed with my agency.

I've been going a little bonkers for the last couple days. I'm having a very difficult time co-ordinating my plans (holiday, work, personal, child-related) with no idea when I'll travel. I don't remember having these difficulties when I travelled to get Zo Peep. I think the holiday season makes this trip more difficult. And clearly, organizing for both me AND Zo Peep adds an extra wrinkle I didn't have before.

According to various internet forums that I follow, it looks like my agency may be the last to hear about definite travel plans -- an honor I don't relish. Let's hope today brings concrete news.
