My Funny Valentine

As my mom would say, “When it rains it pours.” After having the blog on blackout for over a week – here I am posting twice in the same day.

How sad that I didn't realize this morning that today is Valentine's Day. But I soon realized my oversight. Little Zo Peep wore her heart t-shirt and packed her classmates' valentines. Libby Doodle Doo is also sporting a heart-inspired ensemble today.

So I just wanted to wish everyone a happy day. Personally, I must say that I've gotten the best valentines a girl could ever want.

I received a big “I love you mommy” card from Miss Zo Peep last night (shown above).

And the Libster gave me the rosiest valentine cheeks and the sweetest smile a baby could ever give her mommy at lunch today.

We’re going to have “make your own pizza” tonight (along with cupcakes for dessert). Then I’m going to have my first night out without the kids since before Christmas as I attend the monthly trivia night challenge at a local Irish pub.

My team is going to be short-handed tonight as some members are opting for a romantic night with their significant others instead of answering questions like, “Name the British neighbor in the 1970's sitcom The Jeffersons.” Can’t imagine choosing romance over trivia and warm Guinness -- different strokes; different folks.

And tomorrow morning is the big BLOOD DRAW for Libby Doodle Doo – not an event for the light hearted (or squeamish). I can’t wait.
