I can't wait to get home.
We left the White Swan at 2:30 and boarded a big bus. We drove to the other side of Guangzhou (they have moved the consulate since I was here last time) and had our consulate appointment. When that was done we re- boarded a bus and drove to Hong Kong.
We had to go through 2 border checkpoints. One as we left China (where we had to take all of our luggage off the bus and go through immigration review). And then again when we crossed a bridge and entered Hong Kong. In total from hotel to Hong Kong (with a consulate appt thrown in for good measure) the trip took 5+ hours. The families all held up well, but we did have outbursts here and there. I think I got a preview of what our day will be like today on our long, long flight. We have a long layover in Newark and then will get home around 8PM.

So by the time I get home I will be using Planes, buses and automobiles.
Have to sign off and check out of my hotel. See everyone on the other side.
Update: We're at the gate now. Will take off in about 2 hours. Can't wait. Libby Doodle Doo is getting a taste of her first blueberry muffin. She's in heaven right now.

I hope that the flight is as comfortable and calm as possible for Libby Doodle Doo and all the other toddlers.
One of my 'bizarre' adoption fears, is the looooooong flight back to NZ from China - Good luck.
Happy travels!
Kristen
